Description
Ortaniques are not as popular as they used to be. The biggest reason for that is probably because it is not really an easy peeler when it’s harvested around February. In addition, Adana Ortanique tends to be more sour and larger in size than its Cypriot and Spanish relatives. Despite these factors, Ortanique’s durability and long shelf-life provide enough upside for buyers to keep investing in this variety that is also known as Mandora in some origins. Available mostly in 65-110mm. Recommended period for export is week 5 to week 15.
